holiness
I'm going to share a short excerpt from one of my favorite devotional books, Streams in the Desert. This book has had perfect, timely messages that are so deep. It's a compilation of sermons and books written by real and sincere people that have followed God in times past and present. I really, really love this book and highly recommend it for those needing daily messages full of depth and wisdom.
"Holiness- as I then wrote down some of my contemplations on it- appeared to me to be sweet, calm, pleasant, charming, serene nature, which brought an inexpressible purity, brightness, peacefulness, ravishment to the soul; in other words, that it made the soul like a field or garden of God, with all manner of pleasant fruits and flowers, all delightful and undisturbed, enjoying a sweet calm and the gentle vivifying beams of the sun." -Jonathan Edwards

black and white
I've always preferred black and white pictures over colored. It just seems to me that they're more "serious" and deeper. B/W pictures always grab my attention because it feels like each picture is telling a silent, moving story. A richer, deeper story than colored pictures could convey. I always become somber when scrolling black and white photos, because they seem to just... pause time.
Why do you like b/w pictures?

lazy towns
For the last three days my sister and I have been driving around my state passing out flyers for a friend's business. I have never seen so many small towns, flatlands, and very southern (hick) people. I live on the edge of my state so I also got to pass out flyers to my nearby state that's only about an hour away. I like living so near another state and I like living by (and in) so many small, southern towns. I love living near (and in) towns that stop in the middle of the road to let random dogs pass by. It's quiet. And lazy. And everyone is friendly and laid back (even our accent is lazy...).
oh, and I'm also verrrrry proud of my state for passing the strictest abortion bill in the country thanks to Jason Rapert. Read about it hear.
